Animals remain more true to Nature than humans. That’s the reason why they respond better and faster to any therapy that aims to reach health and balance in an energetic level.
Just like us, animals are endowed with mind, body and spirit; they suffer emotionally, they feel pain, they dream, they laugh, they cry, they mourn loved ones. In short, animals are very similar to us.
Animals are made of the same material and energy we are made of, though they have an energetic body that is particular to its species. Thus, we can deduce that therapies that treat our energy and vibrational structures (such as Bach Flower Remedies, Acupuncture, Homeopathy or Reiki) can also be used to treat animals with the same benefits that humans can reach with them.
Animals are intuitive beings, deeply connected with nature , so it is natural that they respond better to natural methods, as they don’t analyze or filter the information they are receiving. They allow energy to reach its destination free of obstacles or blockages.
In today’s world, animals are equally or sicker than we are. As emotional sponges, absorbing energy from their environment, animals who live with humans as pets have a rather low level of health, and they suffer from several emotional problems. Conventional veterinary medicine, as it happens with medicine for humans, cannot treat those diseases that affect beyond the physical body. In other words, the medicine today does not go further this point. Given this limitation, people look for solutions in other sciences and knowledges in order to heal ourselves and our animals.
Our foundation, Trifolium, relies on the benefits of these therapies and we daily apply them in our animal shelter. In order to share our experience and spread the use of these Therapies, we offer training courses, and we also have a well-trained professional team that can help you to improve the welfare of your animals. Therapies for Animals
ACUPUNCTURE
Chinese Acupuncture is one of the oldest medicines we can find. This medicine considers living beings as energetic bodies endowed with channels or meridians, through which vital energy flows and animates us… This ancient science understands disease as an imbalance or an energy blockage, caused by several factors: emotional and psychological, nutritional and environmental.
If Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) considers that human beings and animals are endowed with energy channels and acupuncture points or resonators, through which we can rebalance the physiological and psychological functions. Acupuncture stimulates and facilitates the use of own energy regulation systems of the body, so it is based on natural resources and intrinsic body.
In Canopolis, every day we are using this ancient medicine, that it is endorsed by the World Health Organization, to improve the welfare and quality of life of hundreds of animals that pass through the center: It is because this medicine is an effective tool for treating many disorders that these animals suffer (arthrosis, hernias disc, renal failure, leishmaniasis, cancer…)
By correct energetic diagnosis according to the Five Elements and the Yin-Yang theory, we can treat physical and emotional diseases of animals, with very positive results, since animals respond very well and very quickly to this type of energy therapies. Many of them come to be cured of symptoms that escape the effectiveness of conventional medicine. They can recover their quality of life through anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects that characterizes acupuncture and moxibustion.
BACH FLOWERS REMEDIES
Dr. Bach, was based on the belief that if we are emotionally balanced the disease does not prosper, so treating only the patient’s emotions, his method could help to restore the balance and, consequently, the health of their patients.
Animals are emotional beings capable of vibrating at different frequencies depending on their mood. Therapy with flower essences created under the system discovered by Dr. Edward Bach represents a precious kit that can harmonize physical and emotional imbalances that animals suffer because of the conditions of life to which we submit them. With Bach Flowers Remedies, we can see disappear an asthma attack in a dog, stop weeping of an abandoned puppy or calm the nerve of a horse, among other wonders.
Bach Flower Remedies, used as therapy complement to other medicines can reduce side effects of medication, shorting recovery time, raising depressed states or reducing states of anxiety or aggressiveness, and so on.
If your pet suffers from some imbalance, do not hesitate to contact one of our therapists.
REIKI
Reiki is a manual therapy that channels Universal or Vital Energy (Chi or Qi) to equilibrate energy body of people and animals. The Master Ushui rescued this ancient technique and it has been spread to the West being increasingly used in health centers and veterinary clinics in the US and Europe.
Studies show that Reiki therapy in cancer patients raises defenses and reduces the effects of aggressive medical treatments. In animals we have discovered that Reiki calms anxiety and aggressiveness, or restores from trauma or shock.
In Canópolis we used this technique since 2003 and never stop surprising positive effects. We offer Reiki sessions for your animals to maintain their emotional and physical balance, as well as adjunctive therapy in convalescence, arthritis, anxiety, and fear.
If you wish that your pet will receive Reiki sessions, do not hesitate to contact us.
OTHER THERAPIES
The world of complementary medicine is broad. So far, we have only talked about three of the most popular therapies. What follows are some other therapies that are widely used in Canópolis:
- Phytotherapy: involves the use of medicinal plants and its derivatives for therapeutic purposes. It is the most ancient medicine that is known to exist. It offers benefits to the animals in the cure of diseases or for symptomatic relief.
- Homeopathy: Dr.Hannemann homeopathy is one of the most widespread abroad, particularly popular in the equine world. Increasingly used in companion animals, we can see its beneficial effect on many animals that have been treated in our shelter with homeopathy.
The list of natural therapies that can be used in animals, is the same that the one that can be applied in humans, as Natural Therapies consider all living beings as organisms that are organized by a complex intelligence, which manifests itself at several levels, and whose imbalance causes physical symptoms or psychosomatic illnesses.
All these therapies focus on finding the original harmony which naturally belongs to us, though modern life leads to lose it.
In order to achieve our health and our animals’ welfare, we have an opportunity to remember who we are, where we come from, and which is the role of animals in our lives and in the planet itself.
